Tanzania Edelweiss Estate

The Tanzania Edelweiss Estate coffee, selected as the competition coffee for the Austrian AeroPress Championship 2024, comes from the Ngorongoro region in Tanzania. Grown on the historic Vohor farm and sponsored by List + Beisler, it is renowned for its distinctive fruity sweetness, which it achieves through natural processing. Each grain reflects the exceptional climate at altitudes above 1,650 metres and the indigenous terroir, creating a complex and juicy flavour ideal for competition use.

Edelweiss Estate Farm has deep roots in Tanzanian history – founded in 1900 and still run by the Vohor family today, it delivers a range of environmental and social initiatives. They care about sustainable farming methods while contributing to the local community by supporting education and providing nursery facilities for the children of the workers. Such a responsible approach not only ensures the quality of the coffee, but also the long-term benefit to the community.
